Yearn Alternatives on Sui: Yield Aggregators and Vaults

Yearn and Beefy are not on Sui and AlphaFi is winding down. Compare Kai, Mole, Haedal, Aftermath afLP, DipCoin and JewelSwap's Scallop farms.

Yearn Alternatives on Sui: Yield Aggregators and Vaults

Yearn and Beefy do not run on Sui, and the Sui protocol that copied their model most closely, AlphaFi, has been winding down since 25 September 2026, so the Yearn alternatives left on Sui are mostly specialist vaults: Kai Finance and Mole for leveraged farming, Haedal for lending and liquidity vaults, Aftermath afLP and DipCoin for trading vaults, and JewelSwap's auto-compounded Scallop farms. Each one automates part of what a Yearn vault does. This guide maps them against the Yearn and Beefy model, with DefiLlama figures from 31 October 2026, and explains what changed for AlphaFi users.

What Yearn and Beefy do

A Yearn vault takes one asset, runs one or more strategies with it, harvests the rewards and reinvests them, so your share token is worth more of the asset over time. Yearn's docs describe three generations. V1 used one strategy per vault, V2 allows up to 20, and V3 vaults follow the ERC-4626 standard and can be a single strategy or a basket. Vaults deployed through Yearn's factory charge a 10% performance fee, and single-asset vaults generally have no management fee.

Beefy runs the same idea across many chains with a farming focus. Its vaults harvest DEX reward tokens and reinvest them into the LP position, and your deposit receipt is a mooToken. Beefy's docs say most vaults take a performance fee from harvested rewards, shown on each vault page, and funds are never locked. On 31 October 2026 DefiLlama showed Yearn at about $151.6 million and Beefy at about $99.2 million, with neither on Sui. If you are new to the model, start with what a yield aggregator is and how auto-compounding works.

All of these are small next to Yearn or Beefy. The largest, Aftermath afLP, holds less than one-twentieth of Beefy's TVL. Our best yield optimizers on Sui guide also ranks curated vaults such as Ember, which are closer to Morpho than to Yearn; Morpho alternatives on Sui covers that group.

AlphaFi: the Sui Beefy that is closing

AlphaFi was the protocol DefiLlama listed as Sui's yield aggregator. Its vaults ran on top of Cetus, Bluefin and Momentum pools and on lenders such as NAVI, Bucket and its own AlphaLend, harvesting rewards several times a day and rebalancing concentrated liquidity ranges. It charged a 20% performance fee on yield and no deposit or withdrawal fee, according to its docs.

On 25 September 2026 the Sui Network account posted that the Sui Security Team had found a misconfiguration of AlphaFi's ALPHA oracle that created bad debt, that AlphaFi was winding down, and that the Sui Foundation would help keep the protocol solvent. The post said no user funds were affected and withdrawals were open. AlphaFi's aggregator held about $20.4 million on 22 September 2026 and about $1.9 million on 31 October, per DefiLlama. Our AlphaFi explainer covers the products and what holders can still do.

Leveraged farming: Kai Finance and Mole

Yearn never borrowed on your behalf. On Sui, leveraged farming is where most of the remaining "set and forget" yield products sit, so it is worth knowing how the two oldest ones work.

Kai Finance has two sides. Single Asset Vaults take passive deposits and earn interest from borrowers. Leveraged LP Vaults borrow that liquidity to farm LP pairs with "up to 11x leverage", according to Kai's docs, which also say the contracts are open source and audited. Kai held about $0.9 million on Sui on 31 October 2026, down from a peak of about $50.8 million in June 2025, per DefiLlama. Our Kai Finance guide goes through the vault types.

Mole offers savings pools, leveraged yield farms and managed funds. Farmers borrow from the savings pools, add the borrowed tokens to a DEX position, and Mole harvests and compounds the rewards. Its fee page lists a 9% protocol fee on farming income, 19% of savings interest and a 5% liquidation fee, with fees already reflected in the rates shown in the app. Mole held about $4.1 million on Sui.

Leverage changes the risk in a way Yearn users may not expect. A 3x farm on a volatile pair can be liquidated by a price move that a 1x position would ride out, and impermanent loss grows with the size of the position.

Lending, liquidity and trading vaults

Haedal Lending Vault and Haedal Vault

Haedal, best known for haSUI, runs two vault products. The Lending Vault, listed on DefiLlama since 29 September 2026, deploys deposits into other Sui lending protocols, which is the closest Sui match to a single-asset Yearn vault. It held about $6.4 million on 31 October 2026, and DefiLlama links a MoveBit audit report dated September 2026. Haedal Vault (about $0.8 million), launched in early 2025, packages market-making strategies into a vault that provides liquidity to Sui DEX pools, as Binance Research describes it.

Aftermath afLP

afLP is a community market-making vault for Aftermath's perpetuals exchange. It earns trading fees and liquidation income and shares the vault's trading profit and loss with depositors, so it can lose money. Deposits have a 4-day lock-up, after which you can request a withdrawal; if the request sits idle for 1 day you can force it, according to Aftermath's docs. It held about $6.5 million. See what is Aftermath Finance for the rest of the protocol.

DipCoin Vault

DipCoin launched vaults on its Sui perps exchange in January 2026. A strategy creator trades perpetuals with pooled USDC, must keep a stake in the vault, and depositors share the gains and losses. It held about $1.6 million. Like afLP, it is a trading product, closer to a managed fund than to Yearn.

How much Sui's vault category has shrunk

DefiLlama's history shows how far these products have fallen from their peaks. AlphaFi's aggregator peaked at about $80.2 million on 7 January 2025, Kai Finance at about $50.8 million in June 2025 and Haedal Vault at about $7.5 million in April 2025. On 31 October 2026 the three held about $3.5 million between them. Sui's lenders are far larger: Suilend and NAVI Lending each held more than $140 million that day, and liquid staking tokens such as SpringSui's sSUI and Haedal's haSUI held tens of millions more, as our Lido alternatives on Sui guide shows.

Small vaults bring practical risks. Exits depend on the liquidity of the pools underneath, a single large depositor can move a vault's returns, and a team running a small product may stop maintaining it. Check when a vault last compounded or rebalanced before you deposit.

How to choose a Sui alternative to Yearn

  • For Yearn-style single-asset lending yield with no leverage, the Haedal Lending Vault is the closest match. It is about a month old, so check its caps and audit.
  • If you liked Beefy's compounded LP vaults and accept leverage, Kai Finance and Mole are the main options. Confirm in each app which farms are open, and read their liquidation rules first.
  • For yield from trading activity, afLP and DipCoin vaults pay from fees and trading results. Losses are possible in normal markets, not only in a hack.
  • Each vault adds a contract layer on top of a DEX or lender. Our safety checklist applies, and the Sui TVL breakdown shows how small this category is next to Sui's lenders and DEXs.

Where JewelSwap fits

JewelSwap's Sui farms are built on Scallop. You deposit collateral such as suiUSDT, the farm borrows against it (USDC, for example) at a 65% collateral weight, about 2.86x, and supplies the borrowed coin back to Scallop. Rewards are harvested and reinvested automatically, and Scallop's borrow incentives are boosted by a shared veSCA position funded by SCA that JWLSCA stakers lock. Pairs include suiUSDT-USDC and BTC pairs. Per JewelSwap's docs, 70% of farm yield goes to position holders, 15% to JWLSCA stakers and 15% to the protocol. JWLSCA and JWLCETUS are JewelSwap's derivative tokens for staked SCA and xCETUS. Leverage means liquidation risk, and a negative spread between borrow and supply rates can eat into rewards. The Scallop farm guide and what is veSCA explain the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions

Is Yearn Finance available on Sui?

No. DefiLlama showed no Yearn or Beefy deployment on Sui on 31 October 2026. Yearn held about $151.6 million and Beefy about $99.2 million on other chains.

What is the best Yearn alternative on Sui?

It depends on what you used Yearn for. For single-asset lending yield, the Haedal Lending Vault is closest. For compounded LP farming with leverage, Kai Finance and Mole are the main options. AlphaFi, the closest Beefy equivalent, is winding down.

Is AlphaFi still open for deposits?

No. According to the Sui Network's post on 25 September 2026, AlphaFi is winding down after an ALPHA oracle misconfiguration created bad debt. Withdrawals stayed open and the post said no user funds were affected.

Do Sui yield vaults auto-compound like Beefy?

Some do. Mole and JewelSwap's Scallop farms harvest and reinvest rewards automatically. Lending vaults such as Haedal's earn interest in the deposited asset, and trading vaults such as afLP grow or shrink with trading results.

Are leveraged farms riskier than Yearn vaults?

Yes. A leveraged farm borrows against your deposit, so price moves or rising borrow rates can lead to liquidation or negative returns. Yearn's vaults do not borrow on your behalf.

Educational only, not financial advice. TVL from DefiLlama and product details from each protocol's docs, checked 31 October 2026. DeFi carries smart-contract, liquidation and market risk, including total loss.
