What Is OneDex? MultiversX DEX and ONE Token Explained

OneDex is a permissionless DEX on MultiversX where any project can open pools, farms and staking, plus DCA and the ONE token. How it works, risks, and JewelSwap's farms.

What Is OneDex? MultiversX DEX and ONE Token Explained

OneDex is a permissionless decentralised exchange (DEX) on MultiversX where any project can open its own liquidity pool, farm or staking pool, alongside extras such as dollar-cost averaging (DCA) and the ONE token. DefiLlama has tracked it since July 2023, it was still processing swaps in October 2026, and JewelSwap runs auto-compounded farms on its pools.

What is OneDex?

OneDex presents itself as a "Decentralized Exchange Made For Everybody" under the slogan "Owned By No One, Owned By Everyone". Its docs describe the goal as an open, transparent AMM on MultiversX that projects can use without asking permission. That makes it a natural first stop for small MultiversX tokens that want liquidity, a farm or a staking pool without going through a listing process.

The ONE token was created on-chain in November 2022. Arda's first audit of the DEX contracts was delivered in May 2023, and DefiLlama began tracking OneDex TVL in July 2023. TVL peaked at about $4.8 million in October 2023 and stood at about $185,000 in October 2026. OneDex was still live at that point: the MultiversX explorer showed ONE swaps being processed through its contracts in October 2026.

The team also promotes OneFinity, an EVM-compatible network whose website lists OneDex as part of its ecosystem. For the bigger picture, see our roundup of the best DeFi protocols on MultiversX.

How OneDex works

  1. Anyone can open a pool. A project pays a flat fee in EGLD to enable swaps for its token, and can pay the same fee again to enable a farm or a staking pool. Launchpad sales cost the fee plus 2% of funds raised.
  2. Traders swap against pools. OneDex is an automated market maker, explained in our AMM guide, so prices come from the token balances in each pool.
  3. A 0.3% swap fee is split. According to OneDex's docs, 0.2% goes to liquidity providers, 0.09% to ONE stakers and 0.01% to the platform, collected in EGLD or USDC.
  4. Fees buy back ONE. Part of each pool-creation fee is used to buy back ONE, which is burned in a monthly cycle.
  5. DCA runs on-chain. A dedicated OneDex smart contract lets users buy a token in regular slices over time, the strategy explained in our dollar-cost averaging guide.

Key features

  • Permissionless listings: new MultiversX tokens can get a pool, farm and staking pool without approval.
  • Self-service farms and staking: projects run their own incentive programmes on OneDex's contracts.
  • Launchpad: projects can raise funds and bootstrap liquidity in one place.
  • DCA tool: recurring buys handled by a smart contract instead of manual trades.
  • Fee sharing: ONE stakers receive part of the swap fees.

ONE token

ONE is the OneDex token. The MultiversX explorer showed about 35 million ONE in supply in October 2026 and a market capitalisation of roughly $250,000, so it is a very small, thinly traded asset. OneDex's older tokenomics page describes a different total supply, so treat the explorer as the current figure. Staking ONE earns a share of swap fees and of launchpad raises, and pool-creation fees fund buy-backs and burns.

Risks and track record

  • Smart-contract risk: Arda's three audits of the liquidity pool contracts reported 33 issues in total, including 3 critical in the first review in May 2023; 32 were fixed and one medium issue from that first review was left unresolved. We found no OneDex exploit as of October 2026.
  • Permissionless-listing risk: anyone can list a token, so low-quality or malicious tokens can appear next to legitimate ones. Arda also notes that swap fees can be changed by the owner or the pair creator.
  • Liquidity risk: TVL fell from about $4.8 million in 2023 to about $185,000 in October 2026, which means more slippage and more impermanent loss risk on thin pools.
  • Network risk: MultiversX halted block production for about five days in September 2026 after an attempted VM-level exploit, pausing every app on the chain.

Is OneDex integrated with JewelSwap?

Yes. JewelSwap runs farms on OneDex pools.

JewelSwap's OneDex farms use its optimized yield farming type: you deposit into a OneDex pool through JewelSwap, and the farm rewards your position earns are auto-compounded into more LP tokens, so you do not need to claim and reinvest by hand. Our guide to auto-compounding explains why that matters, and JewelSwap on MultiversX covers the rest of JewelSwap's MultiversX products. Compounding reduces the work, not the market risk: impermanent loss and token prices still apply.

OneDex vs other MultiversX apps

xExchange holds the most DEX liquidity on MultiversX and is the main venue for EGLD and major tokens. AshSwap specialises in stable and pegged pairs. OneDex is much smaller than both but stands out for permissionless listings, self-service farms and its DCA tool. Hatom is a lending protocol rather than a DEX.

  • MultiversX: the sharded Layer 1 behind the whole directory.
  • xExchange: the original MultiversX DEX, with MEX and xMEX.
  • AshSwap: stableswap DEX with veASH governance and JewelSwap farms.
  • Hatom: lending, sEGLD liquid staking and the HTM token.

Frequently asked questions

Is OneDex still operating?

Yes. As of October 2026 the OneDex site was live, DefiLlama still tracked about $185,000 in TVL, and the MultiversX explorer showed swaps going through its contracts.

Is OneDex safe?

Arda audited OneDex's liquidity pool contracts three times between 2023 and 2024, and we found no exploit. Because listings are permissionless and liquidity is thin, users should check each token carefully and expect slippage and impermanent loss.

Is OneDex integrated with JewelSwap?

Yes. JewelSwap runs optimized farms on OneDex pools and auto-compounds the farm rewards back into each position.
